Keeps Me Out of Trouble and Spreads the Message
In the past decades there has been a great revival of interest in the future. An increase in demonic activity, witches, covens, and the occult have bookstores loaded with apocalyptic books.. But Christians need not waste their time searching for answers in the fruitless activities of the world. If we are to know what is in store for us and our planet, we must look to God’s Word and most particularly to the Book of Revelation and its promises.
God knew many would close their Bibles when they reached its final chapters because the Book of Revelation is admittedly difficult to understand. Nowhere in God’s Word does it say we will fully understand all that is included in the wonderful apocalyptic book. God doesn’t expect us to understand it perfectly. He doesn’t promise we will.
What He does promise is found in Revelation 1:3:
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Even though we are not promised perfect understanding, we are promised a blessing by reading the words of Revelation, or hearing them, and by keeping the things written therein in our hearts.
It does seem today we are living somewhere in the account of Revelation. I like to think if I continue to read, hear, and keep the things written in God’s Word, keeping my trust in God it will keep me out of trouble and spreads the message.
In Philippians 1:6
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Until next time, Praise God!
