Living as Disciples of Jesus
If we are to live as disciples of Jesus, we have to remember that all noble things are difficult. The Christian life is gloriously difficult, but the difficulty of it does not make us roll over and become defeated, it rouses us up to overcome. When a door is closed by circumstances or Jesus, He will open another door.
As Christians, we are not out for our own cause, but the cause of God. Often we do not know where God is leading us, but we maintain our relationship with Him whatever happens. The main thing about Christianity is not only the work we do, but also the relationship we have with one another and the surrounding influences that are produced by that relationship.
Many of us do not go on spiritually because we prefer to choose what we consider is right instead of relying on God to choose for us. If we allow God to choose for us than we can truly say, “In Him we truly live and have our being.”
If all recognition is given to God for everything, our lives can be more meaningful and richer. With the dark clouds that are hanging over us today, loving our neighbors with a Love of Christ is easier than hating them.
We need to remember, no one is perfect, and we are all sinners. There are many obstacles that can make us falter in our walk with God. Some of these obstacles can be full of difficulty, bringing us into danger, darkness and even death. We cannot do everything alone. When we are willing to live focused with having Jesus fill our entire being, He will saturate us with His presence and His power.
Until next time
